   Je fais la rencontre de Kaptain Ulysse et son capitaine "M" en août 2006 à Formentera (Baléares). Much to write about this island, very particular energy, weird and blowing feelings, but i'll keep it for another time (if i do continue this blog).

   Avais toujours aimé l'eau, mais n'avais jamais pensé naviguer, croyais que ce monde n'était par pour moi. Martial et son bateau m'ont montré qu'il n'y a pas un mais une infinité de mondes sur l'eau, mille et une façons de vivre la mer. J'ai eu soudain très envie de me laisser souffler dans les voiles, de reprendre la route... but a new one, closer to the elements farther from the crazy world and its confusing people... i figured out there was no need to be a rich kid or anybody very skilled who'd have dedicated her life to sailing, no need either to belong to a "sea family" nor to be born close to the ocean to live on a boat. The main thing was to actually WANT IT, within a minute there, on this boat, i knew i wanted it. Then of course, once you realise you want it, it is also handy to have a boat which obviously wasn't my case... but there are tones of ways to find oneself on a ship. I took a two-week-course the following winter, after i set myself free from several burdens in Paris. Right afterwards i started working on a trimaran, for somebody i met where i was taking the sailing class (Mediterrenea N étang de Thau). It lasted until automn 2007. Meanwhile i was keeping in contact with Martial, we became good friends, he understood and supported me, giving bunch of wise pieces of advice... i daresay at some point he felt proud of me and offered me the most beautiful gift ever : il m'a tout simplement dit : "Si tu veux, tu viens. Tu feras ton voyage et je ferai le mien, on sera sur le même bateau". J'ai donc le plaisir et l'honneur d'apprendre, voyager et partager une traversée de l'Atlantique avec mes deux capitaines : le bateau et son skipper. Nous travaillons aux derniers préparatifs, au chantier du port (Torredembarra, Spain), le bateau est hors de l'eau, bientôt nous l'y remettons et commençons le voyage. J'ai juste envie de crier merci, il faut dire que ce nouveau départ tombe à pic...
